The Marketing Manager will determine the demand for entertainment based theme park products and services offered by Wild Adventures Water & Theme Park and its competitors and identify potential guests. This manager will develop attendance and pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing Wild Adventure’s profits or share of the market while ensuring guests are satisfied. This manager will oversee pricing strategy development and monitor trends that indicate the need for change in targets.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop advertising strategies and concepts to successfully communicate product and promotions directly to consumer base in the region.
- Manage relationship with external partners i.e. media planners, promotional partners, creative vendors for successful execution of strategic plans.
- Communicate expectations to supply chain partners in the development of all creative endeavors in order to deliver all communication materials to market on a timely basis. This includes the creative team, the internal and external partners, the media planners and all vendors involved in the activation of Wild Adventures commercial messages.
- Support the leadership team with research initiatives and presentation materials as necessary for annual reports, board meetings and local or regional events requiring professional content displays.
- Independently identify opportunities to expand market presence and confidently communicate these opportunities to internal and external partners in order to gain consensus and support for their initiatives.
- Maintain communication with other regional entertainment, travel/tourism organizations to gain broad perspective of the market and adapt innovative initiatives.
- Execute approved plans with minimal guidance and be able to work autonomously with assigned team to meet goals.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements: Seeking 5+ years experience in marketing, preferably within the hospitality/travel or theme park and/or entertainment industry. Experience with media planning, advertising, creative conception and consumer marketing is required. Ideal candidate is a creative individual who is a dynamic leader as well strategic team player, willing to participate in building a small regional theme park into a dominant entertainment destination. This manager will have oversight of additional support staff and will report directly to the V P of marketing
