One of the most well known Christians artists in the world, Third Day is set to perform at Wild Adventures on Saturday, August 30 at 6:30 pm. Additional acts include:
Thousand Foot Krutch, Starfield, Grits & Revive Band. Also performing are the following up-and-coming bands: Ever Stays Red, Mission Six, One Minute Halo, The Museum, Abandon, Say You Will, Out of Ruin, Morning Will Break and JJ Weeks Band.
For over a decade, Third Day has stood atop the Christian rock world, gathering a loyal fan base that spans generations, as well as genres. Formed in Marietta, Ga in the 1990’s, the band originally begin to play without any desire to “make it big.” Fresh out of college, founding members Mac Powell and Mark Lee begin making music more to pass the time than to find a career. Tai Anderson and David Carr joined the pair a few years later, along with Brad Avery who completed the original lineup. Now ten years later, the band who never intended to take their music career seriously, are now one of the most enduring popular acts in Christian music.
Third Day was the first band signed to Reunion Records in 1995, where they released their eponymous first album. Since then, Third Day has been awarded 4 gold albums, 1 platinum album, 3 Grammy awards, and 22 Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards.
The group will unveil their highly anticipated album “Revelation” on July 29th, the bands first studio album in three years. The first single “Call My Name” is set to be released soon!
Their commitment to their fans and their family has proven that as long as their heads (and hearts) are in the right place, they will continue to create music that will resonate with fans everywhere. Even after ten years together, the band still uses their music as a medium to convey their personal message of hope and salvation, bringing their mission of ministry as the focal point of their music.
