Wild Adventures got its start as a petting zoo back in the 90’s and although it became one of the fastest growing theme parks in the country, the park never left its roots. Bringing the past into the present, Wild Adventures will host more than 300 new animals in addition to its already extensive collection in 2008.

Highlighting the year will be a facet of the animal kingdom the park has not explored previously—the saltwater creatures of the sea! “Ocean Adventures” premiers at the park on June 6 as part of the Kidzpalooza festival with three entertaining and interactive shows. “Sea Lion Splash” showcases the comedic antics and acrobatics of trained sea lions. Clap and laugh as these natural-born comedians perform daring feats of balance, participate in games and even play a few tricks on their trainers! The “Sting Ray Experience” allows for guests to pet and even feed these graceful ocean residents and “Shark Encounter” is just like it sounds. Get up-close-and-personal with one of the most feared inhabitants of the deep and watch as a diver actually enters the tank and puts a shark to sleep!

Wolves and cougars join our black bears for a new show called “North American Predators.” Although greatly feared in the wild, audiences will be amazed by the fascinating facts and the close-up look of these predators.

“Wild About Babies” brings audiences closer to some of the cute and cuddly residents of Wild Adventures. Not only will audiences learn how we take care of these babies, but they will also have some hands-on opportunities as well!
